The national average for a gallon of gas rose above $4 Tuesday.
$4.02 to be exact.
Prices have increased more than $1 since the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28.
In Pittsburgh, Triple-A reports the average is $3.97. The average in Pennsylvania is nearly $3.96.
The last time gas was above $4 per gallon was in 2022 after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Gas prices are well over $ dollars in California, Hawaii and Washington, with prices over $4.50 in Nevada, Oregon, Arizona and Alaska.
The least inexpensive gas is in Oklahoma ($3.25) and Kansas ($3.27).
