Gas prices back on the rise in western PA

Gas prices in the Pittsburgh area are back up over $4-dollars a gallon, according to the AAA East Central's Gas Price Report.

Prices at the pump in western Pennsylvania jumped 2 cents a gallon this week, to an average of $4.01 a gallon.


Eastern Pennsylvania is on the higher side of prices in the state with the average around $4.10.

Average PA gas prices jumped a total of 24 cents from last month alone and are a total of 51 cents higher than this time last year.

Nationally, the average price is lower, at 3.80 a gallon, with is about 38 cents a gallon higher than it was at this time last year.
