Hey folks, this is one of those Get Marty moments you gotta see. You're about to meet a sweet woman who donates every year to help people pay their heating bills through the KDKA Radio Warmathon benefitting the Dollar Energy Fund. As part of her year-long donation, this time around she ended up with a free toilet from a local plumber.
Originally, Gloria was waiting for another company to make good on her promise of a free toilet but that company didn't follow through. That's where our Get Marty friends at Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing Heating & Cooling stepped in and stepped up in a big way.
In the video on this page you'll meet Zach and the team making the delivery and putting Gloria's new porcelain throne ready for action. It'll be installed in a bathroom she's having rebuilt following a serious fall. That's why she's currently doing rehab on a broken leg and using a wheelchair to get around.
This just goes to show you how paying it forward can sometimes come full circle like this. Gloria truly needed a new toilet and the timing was tragic but also perfect.
By the way, Gloria tells me she's planning to keep giving back and helping people through the KDKA Radio Warmathon which is coming up again this February.
