Beginning today, Giant Eagle has announced that prices on hundreds of items will be lowered through the rest of summer.
The “On Sale This Season” pricing initative runs through Labor Day and is reducing or holding prices on over 300 “frequently purchased” items.
Some of the items that are being reduced by an average of 10 percent, including 75% lean ground beef reduced from $6.69 to $5.99, green and red seedless grapes $2.99 to $2.49, both Family-size Cheez-Its, Giant Eagle American Cheese are dropping by a dollar, JIF Peanut Butter drops from $3.29 to $2.99, Smuckers Jelly $4.79 to $2.99 and Evian Water 6 packs from $10.29 to $6.99.
Other items with lower prices include salad kits, Doritos, tortilla chips, cereals, coffee, butter, hot dogs, watermelon and more.
“During this summer season of celebration, we are excited to bring our customers savings on more than 300 items through the reintroduction of On Sale This Season,” said Justin Weinstein, Giant Eagle Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer. “We know our customers are seeking value in the face of elevated expenses. We took learnings from our seasonal pricing efforts last fall and used those insights to deliver a strong savings program that can help customers save all summer long.”
