Most Rite Aid locations in the Pittsburgh area have either closed or will close soon after the company filed for bankruptcy a second time.
Pittsburgh-based grocery chain Giant Eagle has since taken over prescriptions at many of those Rite Aids that have closed.
Two former Rite Aid locations will be transformed into stand-alone Giant Eagle pharmacies.
But, neither is in the Pittsburgh area.
A spokesperson for Giant Eagle says the two Rite Aid locations that are being transformed into Giant Eagle Pharmacy are in Cambridge, Ohio and Hollidaysburg, PA, just outside of Altoona.
Around 15 Rite Aid locations remain open around the region.
