Giant Eagle issues voluntarily recall of Chicken Street Taco Kits

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) – Giant Eagle has issued a voluntarily recall on its Chicken Street Taco Kits due to the possibility of the product containing undeclared egg allergen.

Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs could experience a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the products.


The products in question were sold in Pennsylvania, as well as Ohio, Maryland, and Indiana.

The "sell by" dates of the Chicken Street Taco Kits in question go through 5/28/21 and can be identified by PLU 56598 located in the upper right corner of the item's scale tag.

There have been no issues of illness associated with the recall but Giant Eagle was alerted of the missing egg allergy declaration by its supplier partner, Reser's Fine Foods.

Customers who purchased this product should dispose of it and return the qualifying receipt to their local Giant Eagle or Market District store for. Refund.
