In anticipation of the coming storm to the Pittsburgh region this weekend Giant Eagle is offering free home delivery.
When snow is forecasted, the joke is typically to make sure you’re stocked up on bread, milk and eggs, but with the possibility of significant snow, you will want to make sure you have some food to make it through a day or two.
Giant Eagle says that “to help customers stay warm in advance of the potential storm, all Giant Eagle home delivery orders of at least $35” placed on Giant Eagle’s website or app will be free.
The offer runs from Thursday at noon through Saturday, January 24.

With so many people expected to descent upon local grocery stores, Giant Eagle has increased product shipments to help ensure they have enough inventory through the storm.
“We tend to see higher customers traffic in our stores in the days leading up to the anticipated start of winter weather, so our process really starts as soon as the first forecasts start coming through,” Public Relations Manager Jannah Drexler tells KDKA Radio.
