Giant Eagle is celebrating the opening of its newest pharmacy Thursday.
The new pharmacy inside the Kittanning Giant Eagle location will open at 9 a.m. Thursday morning.
The Kittanning Giant Eagle opened in January at the Franklin Village Mall.
To celebrate the opening, Giant Eagle is giving away $15 in free groceries with a new or transferred script at the Kittanning pharmacy only, through July 1.
All Kittanning Giant Eagle customers will earn five-times the amount of myPerks on qualifying items between May – May 27 when your loyalty card is scanned.
And, the first 100 customers who visit the Kittanning Giant Eagle on May 23 and 24 will get a $50 gift card that can be used for gas or groceries.
A ceremonial ribbon cutting will take play at 10 a.m. on Thursday with Giant Eagle making a $5,000 donation to the Armstrong School District.
Penguins mascot Iceburgh will be there from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
