Union Township Police in New Castle says Officer Joshua Covert’s daughter Angelica has just been diagnosed with a pediatric brain tumor known Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or (DIPG).

Officer Cover has “faithfully served for over 15 years as a police officer with dedication, professionalism, and compassion,” Union Twp. Police write on Facebook.

“Now, his family needs our help.”

The department says that anyone that is able to donate to help the Josh, his wife Kira and Angelica, can do so via a GOFUNDME page.

Donations will go to help cover medical expenses and treatment, meals, hotels and transportation during treatments, lost income while Josh and Kira care for their daughter and everyday household expenses.

If you are unable to donate, you can share the fundraiser page online and keep the family in your thoughts of prayers.

“Every act of kindness, whether financial, through prayer, or by sharing their story, makes a difference,” the GoFundMe says.
