A fundraiser has been started to help support the family of a woman that was fatally stabbed during one man’s crime spree late last week.
A GoFundMe is underway for the family of Jinx Hairston of Penn Hills. Police have charged George Mitchell II of Homestead in the stabbing.
Mitchell is also accused of injuring four other people in two separate hit-and-run crashes, a carjacking and other crimes.
A GoFundMe says Hairston was close to finishing nursing school “and was so excited for the life ahead of her.”
Funds raising will go to helping the family with living expenses and financial security.
“Your support will help provide stability and hope for her children and loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable loss.”
Mitchell was arrested after crashing a vehicle near Frankstown Road early Friday following a police chase.
