House Bill 2071, co-sponsored by local state representative Pam Snyder, passed the state legislature nearly unanimously.
It will create the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority, a governing board that will create a statewide broadband plan and distribute grant money for expansion projects in undeserved areas.
