The name and details of Pittsburgh's newest music venue were unveiled Thursday in the Hill District.

Tom Loudermilk, Live Nation's market president for Pittsburgh says the name “Citizens' Live at the Wylie”, is a testament for the historic Wylie Avenue that flows through the Hill.

“We see this project as more than just brick and mortar,” said Loudermilk. “We see it as a living bridge between the legacy of the Hill and its future.”

Loudermilk adds it will be a “world-class destination” for entertainment in Pittsburgh.

“Citizens’ Live at the Wylie” is expected to open in the second half of 2026 with 4,000 seats.

The venue will also be able to accommodate all kinds of different shows and will have “different configurations and setups” available.

The venue is expected to create around 300 jobs, starting at $20 an hour.

Live Nation, Citizens and the Pittsburgh Penguins joined to celebrate the project near PPG Paints Arena, with backing from the Penguins’ parent company, Fenway Sports Group.
