A gun was seized at the security checkpoint at Pittsburgh International early Friday morning.
47-year-old Franklin Landis of Poland, Ohio is facing one misdemeanor charge for carrying a firearm without a license after the gun was found in his carry-on bag at the main security checkpoint.
Landis had a gun in his carry-on bag and he did not possess a valid concealed carry permit.
As a reminder, passengers who bring firearms into an airport checkpoint can face federal civil fines of up to $10,000 and repeat offenders can be fined almost $14,000.
The Ohio man did not have a permit
