Gun stopped by PIT Airport security for 2nd day in-a-row

For the second-straight day, a gun has been stopped the TSA agents at Pittsburgh International Airport.

A West Virginia man faces charges after security discovered a gun in his backpack at the main security checkpoint just before 4:40 a.m. Thursday morning.

Allegheny County Police say the man, identified as 32-year-old Robert Browning, is facing a misdemeanor charge for not having a concealed carry permit.

The FBI was also notified.

This comes after Latrobe man was found with a gun at the airport, without a carry permit, on Wednesday.

Even with a concealed carry permit, no one is allowed to bring a gun through airport security.

Guns that travel need to be in a checked bag and properly stored.

In addition to possible charges, fines for trying to bring a gun through security can reach up to $10,000 with repeat offenders facing harsher fines.
