One of the most iconic signs that the weather has turned around in Pittsburgh is the return of Gus and Yiayia's

The food cart, known most for its famous flavored ice balls was open for business for the first time in 2023.


Peanuts and popcorn are also available for kids and adults alike.

Fans of Gus and Yiayia's can still see Gus Kalaris, now in his 90s, still serving up ice balls.

He took over the 1951 from his dad, who started the business in 1934.

Gus' wife or "Yiayia" died in 2016.

Yiayia is Greek for grandmother and Gus' mother, Pauline, was the original before Stella

The orange cart is located on the North Side in the park on West Ohio Street. Mike Spanos, who works at Gus and Yiayia's says their open daily from 12-6 until they get back into their "normal routine."
