A local mental health expert is warning folks about a new phishing scam on Instagram.
On the NewsRadio KDKA morning show, Dr. Christian Conte explained how his account was hacked - after someone attempted to reach out to him and asked for help.
“One split second is all it takes to make a decision that can be really impactful. So, one second later, they change my account. They change it so I cannot access it in any way shape or form. Then, they start sending messages to people.”
Dr. Conti is hoping that by sharing his story, he can prevent other people from making the same foolish mistake.
