A Southwestern Pennsylvania catering company was ruled “out of compliance” after an inspection by state officials this week.

The Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety says Beyond Parsley Catering in Aliquippa had a few violations after an inspection on Wednesday.

According to the inspection report, open food containers and food was being prepped in and “unfinished area”.

The inspection says the room has “open walls, hanging insulation, and paint peeling from ceiling.”

All of the open food was thrown away and the facility was ordered to remove all of the food items in the area.

The report says that the company has a new area to the shop that needs to be finished before food prep can occur there.

Also, the “can opener, counters, and food containers, all food surface” had food residue on it and “was not clean to sight or touch.”

A follow-up inspection is scheduled for 10 days from the initial inspection and the business is allow to continue operating while it corrects any remaining issues.
