A popular restaurant north of Pittsburgh has a dozen health violations after an inspection by state officials.
The PA Department of Agriculture’s food safety bureau says Big Shot Bobs House of Wings on Route 19 in Cranberry Township had several violations, including evidence of mice.
Inspectors say that mouse droppings were found in a condensing unit, behind a freezer in the kitchen.
Other violations include, a ready-to-eat package of salami found in a container with raw pork and meat drippings. That food was thrown away.
A raw sleeve of ground beef was found opened in a prep cooler, uncovered and in contact with condensate water. That food was also thrown away.
A cutting board and magnetic knife rack were found with food residue on it and not cleaned.
Other issues include an uncovered waste basket found in a bathroom, a dumpster missing a lid and several trash bags outside of the restaurant not in a closed waste holding unit.
The inspection says the violations will be corrected by April 13.
The restaurant is allowed to continue operating while it corrects the violations.
