A Flash Flood Warning is in effect in Allegheny County until 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen with an additional 1 to 2 inches possible.

Flash flooding is likely in small creeks and streams, highways and underpasses streets and areas with poor drainage.

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day.

Each round will have the potential to produce heavy rain and hail.

Accuweather Meteorologist Dean Devore has been tracking the storm since early Tuesday morning and tells the Big K Morning Show a tornado in sports is possible.

“It could, I wouldn’t want to discounting it from the city southward, the farther north and east you go, I don’t think the tornadic activity is probable, but it’s certainly something we need to keep an eye on,” said DeVore.

A flash flood watch is in effect through 8 p.m.

The Ohio River in Pittsburgh is expected to crest at 19 feet on Wednesday with minor flooding of the Mon Wharf and the North Shore Riverwalk.
