PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Mayor of Monessen, Matt Shorraw, is asking the public for tree and bench donations in order to help embellish three parks in his city including: City Park, 6th St. park and 9th St. Park
"It makes sense to plant more trees because you could raise property values and it's just nicer to look at. You know, who doesn't like walking through a park with trees, especially in the fall? And benches, obviously, very practical," Mayor Shorraw said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show Wednesday. "I think it's just a nice way to building community back too."
