It may not seem like much, but the sunset is starting to get later.

After months of the sun setting earlier and earlier, it will start to reverse course.

The sun set at 4:53 p.m. through the week, but will set at 4:54 on Friday and start to slowly set later though the rest of the month.

By New Year’s Eve the sun will be setting well after 5…at 5:02.

We are still seeing less daylight in total with the sun rising later in the morning.

It rises at 7:36 Saturday.

But, there is good news.

Beginning December 23, two days after the winter solstice, we’ll start gaining daylight.

We’ll have four extra seconds of light on the 23rd and but up to 36 seconds by New Year’s Eve.
