'HERSHEY' movie, filming in Pittsburgh, looking for extras

Extras are needed for a new film about the founder of Hershey chocolate, Milton Hershey and his wife Catherine.

Production begins in May in Pittsburgh and other areas around Southwestern PA.

According to Mosser Casting, “tons” of people of all ages to “portray and array of characters from the late 1800s-early 1900s for filming.”

Filming will take place between May 12 and June 27 with no filming on the weekend.

A day of work pays $225 with an expected 12 to 14-hour shoot days. Overtime after 12 hours.

You may need to travel up to an hour outside of Pittsburgh for filming.

Minors 17 years and younger need to have a guardian with them at all times that is at least 18 or older.

Actor Finn Wittrock will play Milton Hershey and actress Alexandra Daddario will play Catherine.

Pittsburgh Film Office Executive Director Dawn Keezer told KDKA Radio why Pittsburgh is being transformed into Hershey.

“they’re here because we have quite the reputation of having amazing crew, a wonderful diversity of locations which means we can look like almost anything in the world and luckily enough, we look like Hershey for this one,” said Keezer.
