Around 1,000 Duquesne Light customers do not have service after strong wind gusts brought down power lines in Green Tree.
Wind gusts between 25 and 40 miles per hour were reported for several hours at Pittsburgh International.
Traffic was disrupted on Green Tree Road and Poplar Street by power lines on the roadway.
Duquesne is estimating power will be restored in the area before 1:30 this afternoon.
A separate outage was also reported in the Brentwood area. That one is affecting around 350 customers.
