Human Animal Rescue hasn't forgotten our furry family members amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
The organization will host a holiday dog food distribution event on Monday, December 14 from 10am to 1pm at their North Side location.
“Pets are an integral part of our families,” says Dan Rossi, CEO of Humane Animal Rescue. “Because of the financial difficulties resulting from the outbreak of COVID-19, Pittsburghers need Ellie’s more than ever. We want to make sure that no one has to make the difficult decision to give up their pet because they can’t provide basic care.”
The event will be similar to other food distribution events around the city that have been held for people. In this case, dog owners can drive through to the location and staff will load the dog food into their vehicle.
Human Animal Rescue distributed more than 3,100 pounds of food for their Thanksgiving event - enough to feed 115 dogs.
