The Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh is warning of fake fundraising event.
HARP says in a release that a the false event has no connections to the “activities or operations of our reputable animal shelter.”
The fake event details:
· Humane Hearts Gala: A Night of Compassion and Giving
· Thursday, January 11, 2024
· 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15208 (HARP’s East Side Shelter)
“We want to stress that Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh has not organized, endorsed, or participated in any such event,” said HARP. “This misinformation poses a risk to the reputation of our shelter, as well as the well-being of the animals under our care. We take this matter seriously and are actively investigating the source of this misinformation.”
