Idaho man accused in Pittsburgh area robberies

Local authorities have identified a suspect wanted in a string of robberies in the Pittsburgh area.

Allegheny County Police say 21-year-old Miambo Maombi of Boise, Idaho robbed two 7-11 convenience stores in Castle Shannon and South Fayette, as well as robberies at Domino's Pizza stores in Robinson Township and West View from June 6th to June 9th.

He was later arrested in Hendricks County, Indiana after allegedly running from police during a traffic stop.

Maombi is awaiting extradition to Ohio on robbery and kidnapping charges.

Police are working with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to determine where additional charges may be filed.
