An IHOP restaurant in Southwestern Pennsylvania was ruled “out of compliance” after a state inspection earlier this week.
The Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety says the IHOP on Walmart Drive in Uniontown had several issues after an inspection on Monday.
The inspection showed several issues, including a “black mold like substance inside the bulk ice machine.” That machine was shut down until it is cleaned and sanitized.
Other cleanliness issues include “old splattered food” found inside of microwaves, built up of grease and dust under heat lamp and ticket holder in kitchen and shelf under the cook line has “a build up of food debris.”
Concrete is exposed throughout the kitchen and “is in disrepair and needs to be resurfaced.”
And, inspectors found a leak in the roof in the hallway from the cook line to the storage area.
