IHOP manager in Hempfield accused of stealing over $12k from restaurant

The former general manager of the IHOP restaurant in Hempfield Township is accused of stealing over $12,000 dollars from the restaurant by falsifying employee payroll entries and depositing the paychecks.

PA State police say 45-year-old Aldo Garcia did such things as come up with a fake employee and entered payroll information for that worker, as well as for one who had quit prior to the time frame that was being investigated.

Police say $12,804 in total was stolen.

Troopers say their investigation also found she accused of doing the same thing at another IHOP location she had managed in Montgomery County, Ohio.

State police are currently looking for Garcia and anyone with information on where she may be is asked to contact the state police barracks in Greensburg at 724-832-3288.
