Illegal firearm, narcotics and more seized from nuisance bar in Pittsburgh

The Nuisance Bar Task Force executed a search warrant for liquor sales without a license at a Pittsburgh bar on Friday.

An illegal firearm, narcotics, beer, liquor, gambling devices and cash from illegal gambling were seized at Bridgez.

Three people face charges related to selling alcohol with a license and illegal gambling.

During the search, police found a rifle and charged a man with possession of an illegal firearm and narcotics.

Authorities received a number of complaints about Bridgez. "The City will not tolerate nuisance bars that create problems and detract from the quality of life for residents in surrounding neighborhoods. The Nuisance Bar Task Force will continue to address complaints forwarded by the public and conduct regular, unannounced checks at problem properties," Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich said.

Anyone with complaints about an establishment is asked to call the Nuisance Bar Hotline at 412-323-7777.
