A Sharpsburg man will spend four years in prison for violating federal gun laws.
U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman said 28-year-old Christopher Flewellen was convicted of possessing a gun, which he was not permitted to do because was already a convicted felon.
Flewellen was sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh Thursday. In addition to four years in prison, he will also serve three years of supervised release once he gets out.
The Allegheny County Police and the FBI conducted the investigation in case.
