Improvements aim to reduce wait times at Acrisure Stadium

With a new Steelers season about to start at Acrisure Stadium, there are new features coming to help get fans in their seats faster.

The Steelers announced Wednesday that new Evolv security screening technology is being added to the Stadium's gates.


People walking in do not need to remove anything from their pockets and can just walk through.

The Evolv technology is used at places like Kennywood and PNC Park. It detects possible weapons or anything else banned in the stadium.

Scanners have also been added at all entrances for tickets, making entry faster.

New point of sales systems has been added to help make for faster checkouts at concession stands.

More grab-and-go areas for food, drinks and alcohol have been added to help improve the speed of getting concessions.

Fans can also use the Steelers Mobile app to order online.

Food and Beverage

Six Little Caesars pizza areas have been added around Acrisure.

Other new food items include, fudge puppies, chipped ham grilled cheese and poutine tots.

New cocktails at Spirts 33 include Dubliner Irish Whiskey in a Steelers Mason jar

Steel City Classics will be a self-checkout area to quickly grab concessions.

Game Experience

The Steelers have "revitalized" the pregame to get fans excited for the action.

Fans will now see a yellow first down line along with the down and distance on the scoreboard.

More detailed statistics will be shown and a Network TV clock will let fans know how long until the game resumes on the field.
