A Greenville man died after a crash Wednesday evening on I-79 in Butler County.

It happened around 5 p.m. in the northbound lanes in Muddy Creek Township.
State Police say James Dapper of Zelienople drove from the southbound lanes, through the median and struck the vehicle being driven by Harry Hibbard of Greenville head on.
Hibbard died at the scene.
Dapper and a passenger were taken to hospitals.
Interstate 79 was closed in the crash area in both directions for several hours.
