Winter’s grip on us isn’t letting go just yet.

The calendar may say spring, but snow is in the forecast.

AccuWeather meteorologist Joe Lundberg telling the Big K Morning Show we could see snowflakes over the next 36 hours

“It’s an arctic front that’ going to come whipping through the area this evening, probably between 8 and 9 o’clock,” said Lundberg. “Initially it will be warm enough, the precipitation coming down is going to be rain, but then the cold air quickly takes over and anything after that is in the form of snow.”

He says there will be snowflakes in the air at times later tonight into the day tomorrow, but the good news, it won't amount to much.

“The fact that it’s now April 7 . . . and we’re talking about snowflakes, it’s getting a little old,” said Lundberg.

Lows will dip into the 20s overnight with highs not getting out of the 30s Tuesday.

It will remain chilly the rest of the week.
