In Westmoreland County, a fire destroyed a garage and damaged the rear of the attached vacant house in Jeannette Monday afternoon.
Fire officials say a small heater exploded while a contractor was working in the garage in the 700 block of Allwine Avenue.
No injuries reported, but the contractor says he lost everything in the fire.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by a state police fire marshal.
