Pittsburgh native Joe Manganiello, known for his love of the Steelers and his hometown, is getting a divorce.
The actor has been married to actress, Sofia Vergara (of Modern Family fame) for the past seven years.
The couple sent out a statement to Page Six on Monday afternoon saying, “We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."
The 51-year-old Vergara and 46-year-old Manganiello met in 2014 and got engaged six months after that.
According to reports, the couple had been spending time apart over the past few weeks.
Manganiello would bring Vergara to the Pittsburgh-area when he would visit, especially for Steelers games.
Manganiello is graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and Carnegie Mellon University.
