Mason Martin could be leaving the hospital soon.
In a Facebook post Friday, his father, Denny Martin, says Mason may be released from Children’s Hospital next month.
The Karns City quarterback collapsed during a game in September and has been in rehabilitation for several weeks.
Denny says Mason is moving his head and eyes to follow people, trying to sit up and gaining weight and “looks much healthier.”
He adds they biggest priority for the staff it to “reduce the tightness in his muscles.”
While Denny says he wants to have his son home, he also believes that they’ve been able to maximize the time they’ve spent at rehab.
Denny adds that he continues to appreciate all of the messages and comments he gets and that “it never gets old.”
