Two vigils were held Sunday evening in remembrance of Karoline Heintz, the 18-year-old college freshman who was fatally stabbed last week.

Hundreds of people gathered at Trinity United Methodist Church in McMurray to honor the recent Peters High School graduate.

Heintz was found dead in her SUV last week, allegedly killed by her boyfriend.

Both Royce Moser, and his mother, Rachel, were arrested in Karoline's death.

Royce is charged with homicide and Rachel is accused of trying to help him cover up the killing.

Karoline was a recent Peters Township High School graduate and was a freshman at PennWest California and a member of the soccer team.

A second vigil was held at Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth.
