The former teammates of Karoline Heintz, the18-year-old incoming PennWest California University student who was murdered in August, are launching a month-long fundraiser to honor her memory.
The campaign will kick off on Monday during a Relationship Abuse Awareness game hosted by her former field hockey team at Peters Township.
The "Karoline25" fundraiser encourages "$25 for 25" donations in recognition of Heintz's jersey number, with proceeds supporting a nonprofit organization dedicated to relationship abuse awareness.
