Kennywood is planning to expand their hours of operation this month. Beginning June 9, the amusement park will be open daily. The company's other two parks, Sandcastle and Idlewild, are expected to begin daily operations on June 12 and June 17 respectively.

In an effort to bolster staffing to support daily operations, Kennywood is hosting a job fair on Monday, June 7 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm at the Parkside Cafe.

Starting wages for Food & Beverage and Lifeguards staff, who are high school graduates, now start at $14 and $15 an hour. The hourly rate for high school grads at all three parks is at least $13 an hour according to parent company Palace Entertainment.

Applicants attending the job fair will also be treated to free Potato Patch fries, complimentary cotton candy and will get to play a few rounds of games on the midway.

“Our season is off to a strong start,” says Kennywood/Sandcastle General Manager Mark Pauls. “Coming off a successful opening weekend for this month's Bites and Pints Food & Drink Festival and the expansion to daily operations, we’re looking to this June 7 Job Fair and Free Fries event to bring in the last batch of applicants to make a great summer at our parks.”
