Fans of Kennywood can own a historical piece of the over 125-year-old park and help a local charity at the time same.

To celebrate the Thunderbolt’s 100th birthday, the park is auctioning off six pieces of the former Thunderbolt mural that was seen for years next to the ride.

The auction is up and running through July 7 and you can bid here.

All proceeds benefit 412 Food Rescue.

It’s part of Kennywood’s “Celebrate Pittsburgh” month-long event.

While the old mural is being auctioned off, a new one is being crated.

Artists from “Wicked Pittsburgh” will be creating the new mural this weekend.

Kennywood will be open until 10 p.m. each day through the weekend with July 4th celebrations, free admission for military and more.

Kennywood’s sister parks, Idlewild and Sandcastle, are also offering free admission for military.
