Beginning June 28th, cash will no longer be accepted at Kennywood and Sandcastle and Idlewild will follow on the 29th. They're accepting only credit, debit, prepaid cards and secure mobile payments.

Spokesman Nick Paradise says they expect shorter wait times for food and at stores.

“It will also allow us to allocate or team member resources to interact more with guests.”

For those who bring money, unaware of the policy change, there are kiosks throughout the parks where guests can convert cash onto a card.

The no fee kiosks can transfer up to $500 in bills to one prepaid card.
