The plan to split Kraft Heinz this year is on hold.
The plan announced last year was to divide brands with Heinz, Philadelphia, Kraft macaroni and cheese and others going to one company while Oscar Mayer, Lunchables would lead the second group.
But the company posted a $4.7-billion operating loss last year.
Sales were down 3.5 percent.
The company's stock price has dropped 19 percent in the past year.
In a statement, CEO Steve Callihane says Kraft Heinz will instead spend 600 million dollars on marketing, sales, research and development.
