Former Penn State football player Kyle Vasey is hospitalized after a hit and run accident in Colorado that also claimed the life of his fiancée.
Media reports say the 30-year-old Vasey was walking with his fiancée Corinne Moore earlier this month in Highlands Ranch, Colorado when they were both hit, as was a third person, by a passing vehicle.
The driver who allegedly hit them, 28-year-old Adam Bauserman, was arrested about 15 minutes after the accident.
Police say another driver saw what had happened and then followed Bauserman to his home.
Vasey has undergone six surgeries after suffering three spine fractures and four broken ribs. With multiple fractures all over his body, his left arm was the only limb that wasn’t injured.
Two GoFundMe Campaigns have been started to support Kyle while he navigates recovery and the loss of his fiancée.
