The heavy rains that fell in the Pittsburgh area brought wide-spread flooding along with landslides.
Allegheny County Department of Public Works has announced part of the southbound lane of Evergreen Road in Ross Township has closed due to a landslide.
Public works says that the road between Tally Drive and Evergreen Community Park has been “undermined” and is not currently safe for drivers.
The northbound lane remains open.
Two-way traffic will continue in the area with the use of stop signs.
You can expect delays in the area, depending on how heavy the traffic is.
The southbound lane is expected to remain closed until a retaining wall can be build to support the road.
No timetable has been given for when that work will happen.
