A large pothole is being repaired after a month of headaches for a local pizzeria.

An Oakland pizza shop owner is fed up with the construction near his family-owned business and neglect by the City of Pittsburgh.

Sciulli's Pizza has been in operation on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Halkett Street since 1980.

But, owner Tim Sciulli says the city is making it difficult for customers to buy a slice:

“They’ve eliminated all of our on-street parking, there’s potholes everywhere, it’s not safe for the community,” said Sciulli.

“This crater is probably the size of two cars,” said Sciulli. “It’s been like this for over a month and it’s at a crosswalk.”

He says there have been times when the city has given no notification about a sidewalk or road closing.

But, Sciulli notified Larry and Marty on The Big K Morning Show that city crews were on scene, filing the pothole early Monday morning.

He adds he appreciates that something is being done.
