A second Laurel Highlands teacher has been arrested in the past week, accused of sexual assault against a minor.
Laurel Highlands JROTC instructor, 50-year-old Daniel Cervone faces charges of unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and institutional sexual assault.
According to the Fayette County District Attorney's Office, Cervone has a sexual relationship with the victim when she was 15-16-years-old.
In a letter to the district, superintendent Dr. Jesse Wallace III says “these allegations involve circumstances that occurred several years ago” and were made aware of the allegations on Tuesday.
“The District takes the safety and welfare of our students as the highest priority,” Dr. Wallace said in a release. “We have to continue to take all steps necessary to fully train and inform our staff on appropriate staff/student boundaries and relations.”
PA State Police in Uniontown says they received a report of inappropriate contact on Monday, which promoted an investigation.
Cervone is in the Fayette County Jail without bail.
Troopers say the investigation remains active.

Last week, Laurel Highlands High School teacher Martin Gatti was placed on administrative leave and removed him from his position.
Troopers say the assault were committed against a student at Laurel Highlands by Gatti.
Gatti is charged with unlawful contact with minors and corruption of minors.
