Two residents of Lawrence County were indicted in federal court on child sex charges, said Acting U.S. Attorney Stephen Kaufman.
From July 2020 to October 2020, 61-year-old David Bates of Ellwood City and 33-year-old Tamara Kreitzer of New Castle allegedly coerced a minor into sexually explicit conduct to take photos of the minor.
Once the images were produced, Krietzer distributed them to Bates, according to the indictment.
If convicted, the two would be facing up to 70 years in prison, a $750,000 fine or both.
