Lithium-ion batteries are believed to have caused a fire at a home in Brighton Heights last week.

Pittsburgh Public Safety says it happened in the 3800 block of Wealth Street.

A preliminary investigation shows the batteries likely ignited while they were charging in a solar-powered, after-market system.

No one was hurt in the fire.

Lithium-ion batteries have been blamed for numerous fires recently, including one in New York City last week that killed four.
