For the second time in just over a year, firefighters in North Fayette Township saved a choking child.
On Sunday night, around 6 p.m., a man walked inside the volunteer station on Steubenville Pike and handed a firefighter an infant in distress.
He and another firefighter cleared the obstruction and 911 was called.
It turns out the parents were driving to a hospital but decided to stop at the station.
The baby is expected to be okay.
The department also saved a different choking baby just over a year ago on August 4, 2025.
