Local Long John Silver's given 10 days to correct violations after inspection

A fast food restaurant in Butler County has 10 days to correct several repeat violations after an inspection by state officials on Monday.

The PA Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety program says the Long John Silver’s at Moraine Point Plaza is out of compliance with three violations.

Inspectors say a handwashing sink is “extremely dirty with an accumulation of dried food debris”, several non-food contact services are not being cleaned enough and flooring throughout the restaurant is littered with dried food and grease, paper debris and needs to be cleaned.

All three issues are repeat violations.

The food safety department issued a warning letter for the restaurant and say a follow up inspection “will be conducted within 10 days.”

The restaurant is allowed to continue operating while out of compliance.
